Racine Park hadn't done well against Cudahy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Packers 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Packers back in August, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Arabella Steberl paced Racine Park's offense, picking up nine kills. Steberl got some help from Madison Gomez and her 17 assists. Steberl was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Racine Park and bumps their season record up to 6-11. As for Cudahy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Racine Park will venture away from home to challenge Milwaukee Reagan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cudahy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Whitnall at 6:30 p.m. on October 7.
