Recap: Taft Toreadors vs. Eagle Rock Eagles
The Taft Toreadors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 55-42 to Eagle Rock. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Taft's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Devon Conroy, who threw for 453 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.6 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Lior Leshem, who picked up 296 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Taft's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-9. As for Eagle Rock, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Taft does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eagle Rock will square off against Dr. Maya Angelou Community at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dr. Maya Angelou Community will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
