Baseball Recap: Hill Country Christian Takes a Loss

If Hill Country Christian was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Bishop Reicher Catholic last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hill Country Christian fell 11-8 to the Valor Preparatory Academy Knights on Friday.

SKLAR ARSENAULT and GARY DAILEY did some serious damage despite the final result: ARSENAULT scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while DAILEY scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. ARSENAULT also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. ALEX Alvarado was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Hill Country Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valor Preparatory Academy only posted a batting average of .222.

Hill Country Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
