Baseball Recap: Basic Beats Faith Lutheran for Their Third Straight Victory

It's playoff time, and Basic had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Faith Lutheran Crusaders 9-8. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Tate Southisene was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lyndon Lee, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Basic's record is now 24-7. As for Faith Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 22-17.

Basic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Lutheran, they will challenge Reno at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
