Basketball Recap: Springdale Prep Starts Season with Victory at Home

Springdale Prep gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They really took it to Holton-Arms for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-32 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Springdale Prep was led to victory by Zing Yinpobil and Anya Neufeld. Yinpobil dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards, while Neufeld shot 56% from the field on her way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Yinpobil has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 15 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Samayria Burrison, who posted four points and eight boards.

Springdale Prep has already played their next matchup, a 96-52 win against Bishop Walsh on the 24th. Holton-Arms has also already played their next game (against Flint Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
