Monterey kept a clean sheet against Lubbock on Friday. They blew past the Lubbock Westerners 5-0. The Plainsmen's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five games.

They hit Lubbock with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Makayla Coronado (2), Mae Arrington, Kylei Jordan, and Cooper Jolly.

Monterey's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Lubbock, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
