The biggest upset of the week belonged to Naugatuck, who took down 29th ranked Naugatuck, 27-21.

Tanner Kingsley and Brian Zaccagnini provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Torrington. The longest such play in Naugatuck Valley - Copper this season, the connection resulted in 69 yards.

St. Paul Catholic's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Logan Marchi threw for 357 and four touchdowns and Daija Fitzpatrick had 140 yards receiving. On the ground Jordan Rowley chipped in 126 yards. Reid Morin helped St. Paul Catholic's passing attack out by catching four balls for 121 yards.

The Falcons' Marchi and Fitzpatrick have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Marchi has thrown for 1867 yards this season, while Fitzpatrick, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 40 catches for 624 yards. Mick Pernell from the Greyhounds leads the league in rushing with 727 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Woodland Regional takes on second place Naugatuck. Woodland Regional topped the Red Raiders last week, while Naugatuck lost to Holy Cross.

Going into this week's game against Kennedy, St. Paul Catholic's Marchi needs 133 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.

Two of the top units in Naugatuck Valley - Copper will face off this week when Rob Plasky's team takes on the Hawks. The Greyhounds' offense has recorded 268 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Woodland Regional has permitted only 95 on the year.

There should be lots of points scored when Naugatuck and Tim Shea's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Greyhounds comes in having scored 268 this season, while the Hawks have scored 231. Naugatuck scored 21 points last week as it fell to the Crusaders.

Woodland Regional took down Torrington 68-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kingsley threw for 328 yards and four touchdowns and ran for nine yards in the win.
