Football Recap: Zion-Benton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Zion-Benton had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it four. They took a 35-20 bruising from the Libertyville Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Zee-Bees of the 40-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Libertyville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.3 points over those games.

Libertyville was led to victory by Trevor Wallace and Brock Williams. Wallace threw for 213 yards and four TDs on only 13 passes, while Williams picked up 125 receiving yards and three scores. Williams' longest reception was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

Coming up, Zion-Benton will square off against Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Zee-Bees' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Libertyville, they will host Lake Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
