Softball Recap: Sussex Academy Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Sussex Academy put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They never let the Wilmington Charter Force get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Seahawks, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Sussex Academy pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Wilmington Charter, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Coming up, Sussex Academy will venture away from home to square off against Laurel at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilmington Charter has already played their next contest (against Middletown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
