League recap: Fleming extends winning streak with victory over Prairie

Fleming extended the longest winning streak in A-6 North (6 Man) this week by beating Prairie, 72-38. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

Briggsdale took down Arickaree 66-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jake Lukas-Gorman threw for 260 yards and five touchdowns in the win.

Austin Launer was the best wideout in the league this week as the Falcons beat the Indians. Launer racked up five receptions for 111 yards. Tyler Axelson helped Briggsdale's passing attack out by catching three balls for 77 yards.

Trevor Chintala was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 320 yards on 19 carries as Fleming defeated Arickaree. Teammate Mitch VanDuren added to the ground attack by rushing for 19 yards.

Rick Mondt's team's Lukas-Gorman and Launer have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading A-6 North (6 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Lukas-Gorman has thrown for 1143 yards this season, while Launer, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 28 catches for 477 yards. John King's team's Chintala leads the league in rushing yards with 1544.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Falcons and the Mustangs. Briggsdale enters the game ranked 10th in the state, while Prairie ranks 25th.

Peetz made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 496 from 641. The advance stemmed from a 48-19 victory over Weldon Valley last week.
