Softball Recap: Sunset Park Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sunset Park entered their tilt with Brooklyn Studio on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over Brooklyn Studio. The result was nothing new for the HEAT, who have now won four matchups by 14 runs or more so far this season.

Ransely Rodriguez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Moran, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Sunset Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Sunset Park pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Brooklyn Studio, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Sunset Park and Brooklyn Studio will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the HEAT see the field they'll take on Canarsie at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Brooklyn Studio, their break will end when they face South Shore at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st.
