While Clifton put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Eastside. The Mustangs blew past the Ghosts 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Jordan Kulesa and Arianna Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Kulesa went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Rodriguez went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Natasha Aviles was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Clifton pushed their record up to 10-5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Eastside, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
