Softball Recap: Howe Bulldogs vs. Bells Panthers

Howe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-1 to the Bells Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Howe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Fuhr, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Howe's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Bells, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Howe is set to square off against their familiar foe Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th. Meanwhile, Bells will face off against rival S & S Consolidated at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bells 2.6, S & S Consolidated 0.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
