Baseball Game Preview: Navarro Panthers vs. Wimberley Texans

For the second straight game, Navarro will face off against Wimberley. The Panthers will square off against the Texans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Navarro will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

If Navarro beats Wimberley with nine runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Panthers walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Texans on Tuesday.

Colt Brown was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Austin Davidson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Wood, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Navarro's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
