Football Game Preview: Andrews Mustangs vs. Bushland Falcons

The Andrews Mustangs will square off against the Bushland Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Andrews came up short against Estacado and fell 28-20. Despite 84 more yards than the Matadors, the Mustangs couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Andrews might have lost, but man, JaeSean DeBouse was a machine: he rushed for 91 yards and three TDs. Blas Hernandez helped out on the ground, rushing for 90 yards.

Meanwhile, Bushland can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 35-28 win over Perryton.

Andrews' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bushland, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-4.

Andrews was dealt a bruising 42-12 defeat at the hands of Bushland when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Mustangs were down 28-0.
