Basketball Recap: Camp Point Central Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Camp Point Central and Delavan squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Camp Point Central had to settle for second. They fell just short of Delavan by a score of 54-51. Camp Point Central's loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Delavan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grady Burrell, who went 5-for-7 en route to 15 points and four steals. Burrell is becoming a predictor of Delavan's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 10-18 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Bryson Horning, who posted 12 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Camp Point Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-22. As for Delavan, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-19.

Camp Point Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Delavan, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-27 win against Rushville-Industry on the 26th.
