Softball Recap: Greater Nanticoke Area Drops Season-High Score on MMI Preparatory School

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hanover Area, Greater Nanticoke Area was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let MMI Preparatory School get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Trojans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Kileigh Casey looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Greater Nanticoke Area got a massive performance out of Alyvia Schneider, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Schneider has hit this season. Sophia Cromer was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Greater Nanticoke Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Greater Nanticoke Area's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for MMI Preparatory School, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Greater Nanticoke Area will welcome Lake-Lehman at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for MMI Preparatory School, they will head out on the road to face off against Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
