Volleyball Recap: Continental Pirates vs. Patrick Henry Patriots
Continental kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Patrick Henry Patriots. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-10.
Brynn Thomsen paced Continental's offense, picking up six kills. Thomsen got some help from Kenzie Searfoss and her eight assists. Aislynn Noffsinger controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Leading Patrick Henry to victory were Kensey Weber and Brooke Scherdt. Weber had 20 assists and eight digs, while Scherdt had eight digs and one assist. Weber has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played.
Continental wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Gorham Fayette on the 21st. As for Patrick Henry, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Ottoville on the 21st.
