Volleyball Recap: Continental Comes Up Short on the Road Against Patrick Henry

Continental had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Patrick Henry Patriots, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-10.

Brynn Thomsen paced Continental's offense, picking up six kills. Thomsen got some help from Kenzie Searfoss and her eight assists. Aislynn Noffsinger controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Patrick Henry was led to victory by Kensey Weber and Brooke Scherdt. Weber had 20 assists and eight digs, while Scherdt had eight digs and one assist. Weber is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Continental has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Gorham Fayette on the 21st. As for Patrick Henry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Ottoville on the 21st.
