Volleyball Recap: Boyer Valley Starts Season with Win at Home

Boyer Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Storm Lake St. Mary Panthers 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-14.

Sylvia Sullivan paced Boyer Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Sullivan got some help from Ava Klinker and her 21 assists. Reese Miller controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Boyer Valley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Riverside at 9:00 a.m. on September 6. As for Storm Lake St. Mary, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Paton-Churdan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
