Basketball Game Preview: Northside Christian Mustangs vs. St. Petersburg Green Devils

The Northside Christian Mustangs will face off against the St. Petersburg Green Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northside Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Northside Christian beat Indian Rocks Christian 44-35. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Northside Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kristin Withey, who posted nine points, and Caidyn White, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, St. Petersburg entered their tilt with Hollins on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victor by a 53-27 margin over the Royals. The Green Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 26 points or more this season.

St. Petersburg found their leader in freshman Shaw Summer, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 20 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Summer has scored at least a third of St. Petersburg's points.

St. Petersburg pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Northside Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
