Football Recap: Eustis Panthers vs. Tavares Bulldogs

Eustis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Tavares Bulldogs, falling 28-6. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Tyler Davis and he. Davis rushed for 116 yards while he rushed for 116 yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 107 rushing yards dating back to last season. Eustis' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Tavares, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Eustis will host Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tavares, they will challenge Umatilla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Umatilla: 12.8, Tavares: 4.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
