Preview: Crooked Oak vs. Washington
Washington will challenge Crooked Oak on the road at 7:00 PM on Thursday. Washington don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Last Friday, Washington put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They took their contest against Stratford by a conclusive 38-8 score. With Washington ahead 31-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Crooked Oak, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to four. They were completely outmatched, falling 14-60 to Little Axe. The state rankings had actually given Crooked Oak a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Washington's victory lifted them to 5-2 while Crooked Oak's defeat dropped them down to 1-6. We'll see if Washington's success rolls on or if Crooked Oak are able to steal their positive momentum.
