Basketball Recap: Macarthur Skates Past Highlands with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only MacArthur walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 59-31 victory over the Highlands Owls. The Brahmas have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 22 matches by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Ellie Lee, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 14 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Faith Thomas, who posted ten points and five boards.

MacArthur has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Highlands, their loss dropped their record down to 18-18.

MacArthur wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-50 defeat against Pieper on the 14th. Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
