Soccer Recap: Kennedy Catholic Takes a Loss

Kennedy Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mt. Rainier Rams. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 26, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Kennedy Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-3. As for Mt. Rainier, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kennedy Catholic is set to square off against their familiar foe Auburn at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mt. Rainier will challenge rival Kentridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
