Western International scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Romulus Eagles. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2014.

Western International dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Romulus, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western International will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cass Tech at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Romulus will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Robichaud at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
