Football Recap: Yosemite Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Yosemite unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Mariposa County Grizzlies at home by a 39-20 margin on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Mariposa County was led to victory by Rusty Bull and Austin Battles. Bull rushed for 162 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, while Battles rushed for 110 yards and one score on only 11 carries.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yosemite is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Mira Monte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mariposa County, they will challenge Big Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
