Softball Recap: Wenonah Dragons vs. Ramsay Rams
Wenonah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 20-1 walloping at the hands of the Ramsay Rams. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Wenonah has scored all season.
For Ramsay's part, they got a massive performance out of Kennedi Nichols-Ford, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Nyla Jones, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Wenonah's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Ramsay, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wenonah will take on Parker at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Parker knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Wenonah likes a good challenge.
