After a string of three wins, Cedar Springs's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Lowell Red Arrows by a score of 2-1. Cedar Springs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lowell earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Cedar Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Lowell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

Cedar Springs and Lowell should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Red Hawks (ranked 112th) will meet Jenison (ranked 323rd) at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lowell will take on Kenowa Hills at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (81 vs. 315).
