Softball Recap: Vacaville Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against San Juan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vacaville Christian). They were the clear victors by a 26-13 margin over the San Juan Spartans on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Juliana Prothro was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hazel Campbell, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Prothro wasn't the only one making solid contact: Vacaville Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Vacaville Christian picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for San Juan, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Vacaville Christian beat the Spartans by a score of 8-7 later that day.
