Pius X and Gretna are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2019, but not for long. The Thunderbolts will be playing at home against the Dragons on Tuesday.

Blair typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Gretna proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bears. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won eight in a row.

Gretna never let Blair on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-23, 25-15.

Pius X better keep an eye on Lily Zimmerman. She was instrumental in Gretna's win, getting 18 digs. That's the most digs Zimmerman has posted over her last seven matchups.

Gretna was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blair only served three.

Gretna's win bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Pius X, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.
