Volleyball Game Preview: Los Alamitos Griffins vs. Valencia Vikings

The Los Alamitos Griffins will head out on the road to face off against the Valencia Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Los Alamitos is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Canyon as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Griffins as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Los Alamitos not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Canyon between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Valencia entered their tilt with Murrieta Mesa on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 23-25, 25-18, 25-17.

Valencia's win bumped their record up to 23-10. As for Los Alamitos, their victory bumped their record up to 17-15.

Los Alamitos beat Valencia 2-0 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Do the Griffins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
