Basketball Game Preview: Southwest DeKalb Panthers vs. Ware County Gators

The Southwest DeKalb Panthers will square off against the Ware County Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southwest DeKalb is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.3 points per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Southwest DeKalb took on Tucker on Friday. Southwest DeKalb fell to Tucker 51-46.

Southwest DeKalb's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaron Burks, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards, and Jackson Ushery, who posted 13 points. Burks is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Thomas Glanton, III, who put up four points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ware County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on New Hampstead with a sharp 80-55 victory on Wednesday. The Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Ware County pushed their record up to 19-7 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points over those games. As for Southwest DeKalb, their loss dropped their record down to 25-3.
