Baseball Game Preview: Divine Child Falcons vs. Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish

For the first time this season, Divine Child will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Divine Child's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over University of Detroit Jesuit. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Divine Child saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Davis, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Matthew Esparza also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Divine Child hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as University of Detroit Jesuit struck out 15 times.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep beat Howell 5-1 on Saturday.

The team relied heavily on Jack Leuchtmann, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

The win got Divine Child back to even at 2-2. As for Notre Dame Prep, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
