Arvada West had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Mullen Mustangs to the tune of 33-6 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Arvada West didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Harper Tillman, Grace Schillie, and Jocelyn Ayriss picked up one apiece.

Mullen's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arvada West will face off against Ralston Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Mullen, they will challenge Chatfield at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
