Softball Recap: Sickles Comes Up Short

Sickles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Kenny Crusaders.

Briana Browder was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Taylor Morrissey, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Sickles' defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Bishop Kenny, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11.

Sickles wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-5 loss against West Port on the 29th. As for Bishop Kenny, they will face off against Fernandina Beach at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
