Basketball Recap: Wall Eagles vs. Lyman Raiders
In what's become a running theme this season, the Wall Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 72-46 margin over Lyman. The victory was some much needed relief for Wall as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Leading Wall to victory were Brodi Sundall and Emmet Dinger. Sundall scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Dinger went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 1 assist. It was the first time this season that Dinger scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Amundson, who scored seven points.
Wall's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Lyman, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wall will take on the Broncs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Belle Fourche focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Thursday. As for Lyman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Battlers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
