Basketball Recap: Somerset Academy Losee Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Somerset Academy Losee can now relate to. They fell just short of the Foothill Falcons by a score of 53-50 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lions have suffered since January 18, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Somerset Academy Losee lost, don't look at Jayla Lewis. Despite the final result, she went 8-for-15 on her way to 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Lewis' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. ZaRyah Snell was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards.
