Baseball Recap: McMinn County Takes a Loss

McMinn County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers. The Cherokees were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buccaneers earlier this season, when they won 14-4.

McMinn County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10-1 record this season.

McMinn County will square off against Hardin Valley Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Baylor on the 22nd.
