Recap: Burlington vs. Osawatomie

After a disappointing six points in their last contest, Burlington made sure to put some points up on the board against Osawatomie on Friday. Burlington steamrollered Osawatomie 36-0. Followers of Burlington probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

Burlington had a senior duo take command as Brannon Nordstedt rushed for 142 yards and 2 touchdowns and Tegan Hess's rushed for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with nine tackles Sloyer was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Parker Meats, who racked up 11 tackles.

The win bumped Burlington's record up to 4-3. Osawatomie are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-7.

Burlington will stay at home next week against Anderson County at 7:00 PM. Unlike Burlington, Anderson County will be limping in after taking a loss. Osawatomie will be staying on the road, facing off against Girard.
