Temescal Canyon will head out on the road to square off against Tahquitz at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Temescal Canyon will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
On Friday, Temescal Canyon made easy work of Elsinore and carried off a 12-1 win. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.
JESSENIA MOORE tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, SAMI OLSON and NIA HALL did most of the damage at the plate: OLSON went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while HALL went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave OLSON a new career-high. REAGAN PICKENS was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Temescal Canyon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. They are a perfect 13-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Tahquitz fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Hillcrest on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 15-14. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost eight in a row.
Vanessa Garcia led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-6 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Megan Brown also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Temescal Canyon pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Tahquitz, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Temescal Canyon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .424. However, it's not like Tahquitz struggles in that department as they've averaged .345. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Temescal Canyon's way against Tahquitz in their previous matchup on April 11th, as Temescal Canyon made off with a 17-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Temescal Canyon since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
