Basketball Recap: Mitchell Hodges' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Nebraska City over Ralston

Nebraska City lost against Ralston back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Nebraska City Pioneers lost to the Ralston Rams at home by a 54-35 margin. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mitchell Hodges, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Walker, who posted six points and three steals.

Lamar Rucker went supernova for Ralston, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Eh Wah was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Nebraska City's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ralston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Nebraska City will challenge Louisville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ralston, they will welcome Mount Michael Benedictine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
