Baseball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Jordan

Jordan's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Friday. They never let the West Panthers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Beetdiggers have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jordan got a massive performance out of GAGE NALDER, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave NALDER a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was NOAH GATTI, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West only posted an OBP of .067.

Jordan's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for West, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan will take on Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Beetdiggers surely won't give up without a fight. As for West, they will challenge East at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Leopards at the right time seeing as the Leopards are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
