Softball Recap: St. Paul Central Takes a Loss

If St. Paul Central was riding high fresh off their 14-7 takedown of Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Minutemen came up short against the DeLaSalle Islanders on Monday, falling 9-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Minutemen in their meetings with the Islanders: they've now lost four in a row.

St. Paul Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for DeLaSalle, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-1 record this season.

St. Paul Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-4 defeat against Simley on the 14th. As for DeLaSalle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-3 victory against Minneapolis Southwest on the 13th.
