Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Union Christian Academy

On Friday, the Union Christian Academy Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-39 win over the Aspire HomeSchool Trailblazers. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 139th in Arkansas, while the Trailblazers are ranked 47th in Oklahoma).

The win got Union Christian Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Aspire HomeSchool, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

Union Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Danville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Aspire HomeSchool, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tulsa CHEF at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Aspire HomeSchool's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Tulsa CHEF's offense will have their work cut out for them.
