Cape Coral came into Friday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the East Lee County Jaguars on Friday as the Cape Coral Seahawks made off with an 11-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Seahawks, who have now won four games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Moses Castellanos tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Derek Hooker, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Collin Thess, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Cape Coral's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for East Lee County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Cape Coral will take on Gateway at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Gateway's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Cape Coral has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for East Lee County, they will welcome Moore Haven on Thursday.
