Basketball Recap: ASU Prep Starts Season with Loss at Home

ASU Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the BASIS Phoenix Firebirds on Tuesday, falling 64-33. The Sun Devils lost against the Firebirds in their previous head to head back in November of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-3 score last time.

BASIS Phoenix has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. ASU Prep will face off against South Pointe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for BASIS Phoenix, they will head out to challenge Heritage Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
