Football Recap: Classical Prep Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Classical Prep owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They secured a 6-0 W over the Cypress Creek Coyotes. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Lions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Coyotes are ranked 329th).

Classical Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.6 points on average over those games. As for Cypress Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Classical Prep and Cypress Creek are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Lions will be playing at home against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hurricanes will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Classical Prep surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cypress Creek, they will face off against Springstead at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 7.9 points per game this season, so the Coyotes' offense will have their work cut out for them.
