It was a good run, but Manistique unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Alpena Wildcats by a score of 1-0.

Manistique's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9-2. As for Alpena, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-12-2 record this season.

Alpena didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Hillman on the 18th. Hopefully Manistique paid attention to the Wildcats' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Wildcats at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
