George Washington's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Greenbrier East Spartans 14-13. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 on April 1st.

Campbell Lunsford was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Natali Tomblin was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: George Washington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

George Washington's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Greenbrier East, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-7.

Looking ahead, George Washington will head out on the road to challenge Parkersburg at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Greenbrier East, they will welcome Wyoming East at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
